Well, I wanted to be a little more original than just "Snow" - as I assume there are 50K+ sites boasting that title today. Lou Lou told Isabelle yesterday that her mom (Nana) used to put maple syrup on her snow balls as a treat. So I went with it.
I bundled them up for snow. Interesting task. Cam isn't really a believer in shoes, especially big clunky ones. He decided to remove his boots a couple of times prior to our jaunt to the back yard. I toyed with letting him learn the hard way - not so much because I thought he would learn, but more for revenge. I thought better of this plan, chocking my frustration up to lack of sleep (I plowed snow yesterday and this morning - got to bed a bit after 3am - good recipe for disaster!). Out we went into the wild white powder. Isabelle got her first really good taste of playing in the snow, which she seemed to enjoy thoroughly. She stayed outside and played for a good 40mins by herself after I had to rescue Camden to the warmth. Cam also enjoyed, but was happier in the shoveled areas where he could be mobile and not have his face blanketed with white.
But, before our sledding, faceplanting, going down the slide and shoveling was initiated we had to address the maple syrup snow balls. Far be it from Isabelle to ignore such important information! I was able to push it out until we had played for a while. But once Camden and I were inside, and I was reminded again, I conceded. I admit, it was pretty tasty. Snow is fun - wet and cold - but fun.

This is hysterical! Enjoy!

After about a dozen emails and/or comments from co-workers and friends on-line, I decided we might as well post our debut on www.boston.com. Meghan volunteers on the Friends of Christopher Columbus Park, which is described on their website (which, incidentally Meghan re-designed) as follows:
Friends of Christopher Columbus Park (FOCCP) is a non-profit organization made up of North End and Waterfront neighbors whose purpose is to further the restoration, protection, preservation, care, enhancement, improvement, and maintenance of the Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park. www.foccp.org
They have an annual "Gala" fundraiser event that Ed & I attended, along with my mother and several of Meghan & Neil's friends, as Meghan & Neil's guests. The Boston Globe was there taking pictures and we made the "cut", as seen below. Meghan & her planning committee were also featured.
It was a great time; Thank you Meghan & Neil!
Check us out! The couple we are with are Meghan & Neil's neighbors as well as Kristen is a colleague of mine at MIT!

The sign below reads "Happy Birthday Auntie Meghan". As you can see, there was much effort put into the decorations. Camden contributed the bright red (I promise that it's not blood) then did an interpretive dance for Meghan - I just missed getting it on film (he is quite the dancer - for those who don't spend a lot of time with him). Isabelle added many personal touches that I have translated in the close up shots of the sign. After repeated attempts, I abandoned my efforts to get them to hold the sign at the same time. As you will see, Camden preferred wearing it rather than holding it. Have a great day Auntie Meghan!
We love you!

So, we're a little late in posting, considering Camden's birthday is on October 12th, but better late than never. I think this might be one of the only pictures we have of our "whole family", which actually came out pretty well!
Auntie Meggie and Uncle Neil hosted Camden's birthday with grandparents and Uncle Brian in attendance. Isabelle had more fun opening Camden's presents than he did. The hit gift was from Grammie, who said her gift was to get Camden ready for a trip to NYC: a toy taxi, a toy bus, a toy NYC cop car and a toy black stretch limo!
